BMW 5 Series Vehicles have gone through a slight decrease in their retail price recently. This model has gone through an overall fall in its selling price.
The selling price for BMW 5 Series cars has fallen during the last 6 months we have analyzed. The average price in August was €60,305. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at €58,373 during September. The average selling price has remained fairly constant during the following two months, going from €59,339 to €56,745. In the last two, the price has gone through a -6 % devaluation compared to the previous average values going down from €58,042 to €54,495 during December and January.
The average price for BMW 5 Series has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2002 and 2016, the average price is €10,003.93. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2002 (€790) moving up till (€28,081)in 2016. During the next two years (2017, 2018) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 330 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 10 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (€47,827.75) and the the last two years that were studied (2019, 2020) with a price of €52,612.5.
The graph that displays the price for BMW 5 Series cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "more than 200,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 80 % more affordable than the average price (€55,071). Next with a price of €25,286 and a mileage range of "100,000 - 200,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "less than 10,000". It is 2% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "10,000 - 25,000" priced at €49,932.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for BMW 5 Series cars points out to "Hybrid" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 35 % less expensive than the average market price (€55,071) followed by "Petrol" priced at €37,913. On average the cheapest type of fuel is "Diesel". It´s price is 1 % more affordable than the average market value followed by "Electric" with a price of €41,470.
The graph displaying the average price for vehicles with doors shows that BMW 5 Series automobiles with the cheapest price have 5 doors. They are 21 % cheaper than the average price for this model priced at €43,421. Cars with the lowest price have 4 doors and are 4 % cheaper than the average previously displayed.
